Find Me a Trip has tested 80 American towns against a five-point standard and published the full list below. Every town on it passes all five. A town that misses even one does not make the handbook. The list spans 33 states, budgets run from $90 to $850 per person per day at the low end of each town's range, and each town is matched to the part of Europe it actually resembles.

A town only makes the list if it passes all five.
1. It feels like Europe, without a passport. Not a theme. The architecture, the food or the heritage is genuinely there. 2. You can walk everywhere. Nobody in the group has to drive once you arrive. 3. Rooms with charm instead of chains. 4. Dinners worth dressing up for. 5. A plan somebody already made, morning to night.
Miss one and the town does not make the cut. That is why the list is 80 towns and not 800.

Find Me a Trip researched each town against the five points and wrote a full weekend plan for it. The budget ranges are what a weekend actually costs per person per day, covering a room, meals and a tasting or two, taken from the researched rate ranges in each town's chapter rather than from an average.
The season column is the edition each town belongs to. Twenty towns work year round. The other sixty are grouped by the season they are best in, because a town that is wonderful in October can be closed in February.
